The National Bureau for Land Defense and Settlement Resistance of the Palestine Liberation Organization confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities are accelerating the pace of implementation of their plans to annex parts of the occupied West Bank, with the absolute support of the American administration, to implement the provisions of the "deal of the century" that violate international legitimacy decisions related to the Palestinian cause.
Wafa news agency quoted the office's weekly report issued today as saying that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will visit next Wednesday a number of settlements on Palestinian lands in the West Bank, noting that Pompeo announced last year that his country's administration does not consider that Israeli settlements violate international law, ignoring that. All international resolutions, especially Security Council Resolution 2334 of 2016, which calls for the occupation to immediately stop all settlement operations on the occupied Palestinian territories.
The report indicated that the occupation authorities announced a plan to establish 108 settlement units to expand a settlement built on Palestinian lands in the Shuafat camp, north of occupied Jerusalem, and swept areas of Palestinian land in the Wadi Rababa neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and lands in the village of Zanuta, south of Hebron, to construct a settlement road linking two outposts. Two settlements built on the lands of the village, and 58 dunums of lands were bulldozed from the towns of Qarawat Bani Hassan and Haris West of Salfit, to expand one of the settlements. It also closed an agricultural road linking the villages of Shuqba and Rantis in Ramallah and prevented Palestinians from passing through it.
The report stated that the occupation forces demolished a house in the Al-Tour neighborhood, a commercial facility in the town of Anata in occupied Jerusalem, an agricultural facility in the area of Al-Jaldah in the city of Hebron, two houses and an agricultural facility in the village of Jurat Al-Shamaa, south of Bethlehem, and a house in the village of Al-Walaja in the north of it, and it received notices of demolishing homes and facilities in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem. And the town of Samou 'and Tuwani in Hebron
The report pointed out that settlers continue their attacks on the cities and towns of the West Bank with the protection of the occupation forces, as they seized swaths of Palestinian lands in the Ras al-Tin area in the village of Kafr Malik, east of Ramallah, and in the Um Kharrouba area in the northern Jordan Valley, to establish outposts and stormed the village of Turmusaya, northeast of Ramallah, and caused damage. Palestinian agricultural lands and the towns of Silat al-Dhahr and Jalameh in Jenin, and attacked the homes and properties of Palestinians.
