Police arrested 16-year-old youth at Tsuen Wan Drug Distribution Centre for $1 million in drugs

At about 11.55 pm yesterday (13th), officers from the Special Duty Squad of the Kowloon City Police District launched an anti-drug operation and smashed a suspected drug distribution center in Tsuen Wan.

During the operation, police officers intercepted and searched a suspicious young man outside a unit at No. 305 Sha Tsui Road and seized about 267 grams of suspected ice, about 64 grams of suspected ketamine, about 6 grams of cocaine and about 14 Ke suspects a liquid mixed drug commonly known as "Happy Water".

The police officers then searched the unit and seized about 612 grams of suspected ketamine, about 540 grams of suspected "ice" poison, about 36 grams of suspected cocaine, about 36 grams of suspected "happy water", about 50 suspected "ecstasy" pills, and about 250 tablets Suspected of nitromethazepam commonly known as "five sons", two electronic scales and a batch of drug packaging tools.

The total market value of the drugs seized during the operation was approximately HK$1 million.

The 16-year-old local youth was arrested for drug trafficking and is currently being detained for investigation.

According to the police, preliminary investigations revealed that the drug distribution center is suspected to be used to supply and package drugs to entertainment venues in West Kowloon.

The operation is still ongoing, and it is not ruled out that more people have been arrested.

The police stressed that there is zero tolerance for all drug activities and will continue to crack down on them.

Drug trafficking is a serious crime. According to the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, Chapter 134 of the Laws of Hong Kong, upon conviction, the maximum penalty is a fine of HK$5 million and life imprisonment. The public should not try the law.
