The newly appointed Acting US Defense Secretary Christopher Miller renewed the previous US administration’s statements regarding withdrawing US forces from Afghanistan and the Middle East region, saying, “It is time to return home.”

Agence France-Presse quoted Miller as saying in a message published early today on the US Department of Defense website that ending wars requires concessions and partnership .. We faced the challenge and did everything we could .. It was time to return.

In his first message to the US armed forces since Trump appointed him last Monday as acting secretary of defense, Miller claimed that “all wars must end,” indicating that it is the critical stage in which America transforms its efforts from a “leadership role to a supportive role,” as he claimed.

Miller returned to promote his country's claims about the fight against terrorism and the terrorist Al Qaeda organization, saying that it was on the verge of defeating the organization.

Miller, a former US special forces officer and counterterrorism expert, did not specify where his country's soldiers would be deployed.

It is noteworthy that Trump has claimed more than once to withdraw his forces from Afghanistan and the Middle East region, but he has not fulfilled his claims so far.

Since August 2014, the United States has led a showcasing coalition from outside the international legitimacy, claiming to fight the terrorist organization "ISIS". This alliance has committed dozens of massacres against civilians in Raqqa, Deir Ezzor and the northern countryside of Aleppo, and caused widespread damage to the infrastructure, and the facts proved that Washington was aiming to use the terrorist organization to investigate Its goal and interests in the region, not to fight it.
