Occupied Jerusalem - SANA
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has renewed its call on the international community to take urgent action to stop the Israeli occupation authorities' violations of Islamic and Christian sanctities in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing that it is a flagrant violation of international law.
In a statement carried by Ma'an News Agency, the Foreign Ministry stated that targeting the occupation of Palestinian holy sites is a dangerous escalation aimed at imposing a new fait accompli, judaizing the Holy City, distorting its heritage and obliterating its features and the Palestinian Arab identity.
The Foreign Ministry indicated that the silence of the international community on these violations encourages the occupation to continue its crimes and violations, calling on the relevant UN organizations, especially UNESCO and the Human Rights Council, to take urgent action to stop these violations and provide protection for Palestinian holy sites.
