Thousands of supporters of US President Donald Trump took to the streets of Washington today (Saturday) to express support for his baseless allegations of electoral fraud.

This, while Trump continues to refuse to acknowledge his election loss to his Democratic opponent Joe Biden, and tries his luck to change the election results with a series of petitions he has filed.



The protesters marched carrying US flags, shouting "Stop the theft" and "We are the winners."

At the end of the march, the demonstrators gathered in the "Freedom Square" near the White House and planned to turn toward the U.S. Supreme Court building.

Demonstrations in Washington and other cities across the United States were attended by a variety of presidential supporters, some conservative figures in American politics and some members of the far-right group "Proud Boys" and members of the right-wing militia "Oath Keepers."

They all came together for a show in support of Trump's efforts to stay in office.

Trump's vehicle drove slowly among the crowds on its way from the White House to its golf course in Sterling, Virginia.

His supporters shouted "four more years" as he passed them.

Opposite the demonstration, protesters against Trump waved signs that read: "We voted - you are fired."
