Two people were killed and a third wounded after they were attacked with a white weapon in the city of Cholet in Maine and Loire in western France.
Agence France-Presse quoted Eric Boyar, the Prosecutor in Angers, the district center, as saying in a statement that "a person suspected of carrying out this attack has been arrested," indicating that the weapon used in the attack was a sharp tool without clarifying its nature.
Puyar noted that it is too early to present the arrested man as the perpetrator of the attack or to consider the attack as a terrorist.
A person was killed on the sixteenth of last month after he was stabbed in the neck in a suburb of the French capital, Paris, while the authorities opened an investigation on charges of committing a crime linked to a terrorist act.
