Among the personalities expected in front of the Head of State will notably intervene Tony Estanguet, president of the organizing committee of the Olympic Games of Paris 2024, we learned from corroborating sources.
The government has pledged to provide aid of 110 million euros in the near future for professional sport, which suffers the full brunt of the consequences of confinement with in particular a stationary ticket office.
Federations on the precipice
The Minister in charge of Sports Roxana Maracineanu had also indicated that she was "working with Bercy on the exemption of employer charges on wages".
As for amateur sport, it has suffered in particular from the drastic drop in the number of licensees, placing clubs, even federations, on the edge of the precipice for some.
According to the president of the French National Olympic Committee Denis Masseglia (CNOSF), the loss is already estimated "around a billion euros".
