The bazaar, which opened at the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus yesterday and lasts for three days, will go to support the "Society" project for children with Down Syndrome at the Roots Association.

The Bazaar Organization, Rana Tabaa, indicated to Sana Tourism and Society that the primary goal of the bazaar is to support the Roots Association to continue its activities, pointing out that the exhibits varied between embroideries of various shapes and colors that covered clothes, accessories, artwork, wool works, colored cloth, handcrafted perfumes, gifts, as well as food and sweets corners.

In turn, the director of Damascus Tourism, Engineer Bassam Mardini, considered the bazaar as an opportunity to allow the owners of handicrafts to display their products and craftsmanship and to encourage and market the national industry, stressing the role of society in embracing and supporting associations.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roots of Kholoud Rajab indicated that the association seeks to change the mental and stereotypical image of some people with disabilities and the psychological empowerment of them and their families.

Somaya Al-Hosh, one of the women participating in the bazaar, said, “The oldest handmade products that I manufacture at home in my town of Arnah, which is famous for producing abundant varieties of various fruits, as I dry them and market them through bazaars and exhibitions,” pointing out that the bazaar is an opportunity to display its products that bear the character and tradition of her town in addition to marketing them from By communicating directly with the audience.

Return to nature is the slogan of the project of the engineer Haifa Hajj Hussein, who presented products made of soap and glycerine, and more than 19 natural herbs free of chemicals are included in their composition, noting that she is constantly participating in bazaars and exhibitions, and this time she participates in support of people with Down syndrome.

A painting with a glance was the slogan of the participant Fayez Al-Mawsli, who indicated that his participation in the bazaar aims to print instant pictures within minutes to instill joy and smiles among the visitors, expressing his happiness to provide something simple for people with Down syndrome.

Participating Ramona Baghdad praised the importance of the bazaars that offer their artifacts made of silver and shells to the public, pointing to the popularity of their goods, especially among young people.

In one of the corners, Bariza Al-Kilani displays her works of bands made of teresin, which are used to decorate homes and halls, pointing out that she is participating for the first time in the bazaar, which allowed her to communicate directly with customers and benefit from the ideas and experiences of the participants in addition to supporting people with Down syndrome.
