The People's Assembly, in its fifteenth session of the first ordinary session of the third legislative session, held today under the chairmanship of Hammouda Sabbagh, Speaker of the Assembly, discussed the performance of the Ministry of Interior and issues related to its work.
At the beginning of the session, the Council commemorated the fiftieth anniversary of the corrective movement, and Sabbagh affirmed in a speech that the founding leader, Hafez al-Assad, who devised the correction approach, made Syria a difficult figure in facing the equations of the new colonialism and its plans in the region, indicating that the wars and the siege imposed on Syria are the result of the great Syrian people’s adherence to the approach. Correction.
A number of members of the Council indicated that the glorious corrective movement formed the solid base for building a strong state capable of protecting its sovereignty from the enemies that lie ahead of it, and the model to be followed in terms of preserving internal stability, developing various sectors, advancing the national economy and strengthening Syria's role among nations.
Then the council moved to discuss the performance of the Ministry of the Interior, where the Minister of Interior, Major General Muhammad Khaled Al-Rahmoun, confirmed that the work of all police units in the liberated areas in the governorates had been activated and this year 1086 criminal offenses were seized, 405 crimes of exchange rate manipulation, currency forgery and trafficking were recorded, 298 stolen cars were seized and the perpetrators arrested Crimes.
Minister Al-Rahmoun indicated that the link between the Immigration and Passports Department and the national system has been completed with the decisions of precautionary seizure through the secure network to insert the sign of preventing departure on the system, indicating that the citizens whose names are included in the lists of postponed and deferred from the military service and reserve have been granted for a period of six months to settle their recruitment status. The existence of another measure against any citizen mentioned in the regulations whose status is addressed without arrest, and it was allowed to obtain personal documents from the border centers for people who lost their travel documents outside Syria, facilitate their entry procedures, facilitate the entry of children born outside Syria, and inform their families of reviewing civil affairs to complete the procedures for their duly registration.
He pointed out that the freedom of choice to enter or return has been left for citizens coming to Syria who are entitled to notifications for any party, with the entry and departure movements recorded for them, so that they can enter the neighboring country without any hindrance, while the same facilities are provided to citizens coming individually and granting those who fail to perform compulsory service A period of 15 days to regularize their situation and 7 days for those who failed to attend the reserve call.
The Minister of Interior affirmed that instructions have been issued to facilitate the return of citizens and to receive those wishing to return who left the country without the official border crossings properly, and a circular was issued to expedite the treatment of the conditions of citizens entering the country through the border crossings and their right to make an arrest in favor of the Ministry of Interior within 72 hours from the date of their arrest. To the completion of the electronic connection with the Syrian Company for Electronic Payments to pay the in absentia violations that do not require deduction of points or removal of the violation.
For their part, a number of members of the Council called for raising compensation and the nature of work for the Internal Security Forces, addressing the phenomenon of the spread of motorcycles, and intensifying patrols on the Daraa highway and the Badia regions to confront the perpetrators of kidnapping and robbery, solve the problem of similarity of names, and establish more civil status secretariats.
Some members of the council called for addressing the status of maktumis, establishing citizen service centers in the countryside of the governorates, renewing market permits for expatriates in embassies, and supporting districts with police cadres, calling for addressing the issue of arresting those who incur fines at the border by creating a window at the crossings to pay these fines.
In his response to the interventions, the Minister of Interior affirmed that the security situation in Daraa Governorate is currently being addressed and followed up, and that police patrols are spread around the clock on the Daraa highway in Damascus, and the kidnappers who were carrying out kidnappings and looting were arrested, indicating that a large part of the police stations had been automated to deal with Delay in canceling research notes.
Minister Rahmoun indicated that the Criminal Security Department will be instructed to pay more attention to the issue of cybercrime to avoid arresting anyone by mistake, while no original civil status document for citizens has been lost, all of which are preserved in Damascus, and what has been lost are some records, not the original documents, as for the subject of granting incentives and the nature of Work for the Internal Security Forces, it is under study.
The Minister of Interior affirmed that police units continue their work in pursuing unlicensed motorcycles and electric motors, and work is underway to restore the headquarters of the civil affairs departments in the liberated areas, indicating with regard to the problem of similarity of names that the majority of public authorities and civil affairs have been linked to remove the similarity in the triple name by relying on the ID number.
