Today, the Ministry of Communications and Technology has put the Sanaa Muhaidli Call Center in the Qadi Askar neighborhood in Aleppo into service with a capacity of 20,000 phone numbers and 1024 internet gates after its structural and technical rehabilitation and reconstruction, at an estimated cost of 1,600 billion Syrian Pounds, as a result of the damage and acts of sabotage caused to it by terrorism.

Eng. Iyad Al-Khatib, Minister of Communications and Technology, explained in a statement to the media the importance of rehabilitating the Sanaa Muhaidali call center and putting it into service to feed the Al-Qatirji industrial area with telephone service and deliver it to commercial and industrial activities and the surrounding residential neighborhoods, pointing out that the ministry has set in its plan to restore the telephone service to the damaged call centers in the Hajj Bridge Hanano, based on the interest in Aleppo Governorate and its role in supporting the national economy.

In turn, Eng. Saif Al-Din Al-Hassan, Executive Director General of the Syrian Telecom Company, spoke about the great efforts made by the engineers and technicians in the company’s branch to restore the telephone service to the center from the extension of four main cables to feed the industrial areas in the neighborhoods of Al-Qatirji and Al-Maysar and transportation. Work continues to extend 18 new telephone cables to put them into service soon. To work on activating the center's lounge as a postal service for citizens, pointing to work on rehabilitating the main optical ground cables to serve the liberated countryside in Zerba, south of Aleppo, Hayan, and Anadan, northwest of Aleppo.

Engineer Anwar Rahwan, Director of the Aleppo Communications Branch, stated that the opening of the center will contribute to reactivating the economic, commercial and industrial movement in the old city of Aleppo and providing telephone service to citizens and people who returned to their homes after their displacement by terrorism.

During the Minister of Communications and Technology's inspection of the works of rehabilitation and restoration of the main hall of the Directorate of Aleppo Post Corporation, Eng. Hayan Maqsoud, Director General of the Postal Corporation, explained that the restoration and rehabilitation works, which exceeded 70 percent, aim to create a model hall to provide all services to citizens from documents related to civil affairs from the issuance of a record and a family statement. And a civil and a summary of a criminal record "not ruled" in addition to the money transfers and it is expected that the work will be completed and put into service by the end of the current year.

The governor of Aleppo, Hussein Diab, and Ahmed Mansour, the Secretary of the Aleppo branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, participated in the tour.
