A95 / Munau: large-scale operation after two accidents - temporary full closure

The exact cause of the collision, which caused a large-scale operation by the blue light organizations, has not yet been precisely clarified.

The investigations of the traffic police, who are responsible for the route section, are still ongoing.

One thing is certain: there was heavy traffic on the A95.

The beautiful autumn weather attracted many day-trippers to the mountains.

In the first accident around 10:45 am between the Murnau and Eschenlohe junctions, three drivers from Munich and the Dachau district were involved in an Audi, BMW and VW.

According to reports, after an overtaking maneuver at high speed, there was a serious rear-end collision.

Serious accident: A95 to the south is completely closed.

The second accident followed shortly afterwards: an Audi driver from the state capital braked sharply behind it.

This in turn led to a young woman, also from Munich, driving up her Fiat.

The control center triggered a major alarm.

In addition to the police and emergency services, the fire brigades from Ohlstadt and Murnau and the district fire inspection were on site with 25 helpers.

Work on the two accident sites lasted until the early afternoon.
