Today, the Ministry of Communications and Technology has set up a communications center for the town of Taybat al-Imam in the northern countryside of Hama, with a capacity of 2,250 telephone lines after rehabilitating it and repairing the damage caused to it by terrorism during the past years, at a cost exceeding 175 million pounds.

The Minister of Communications and Technology, Eng. Iyad Al-Khatib, stated in a statement to reporters that the communications sector in Syria has been damaged during the last period as a result of the attacks of terrorist groups and the systematic destruction of the various telecommunications stations, stations and equipment, indicating that after 2017 and with the liberation of many villages and towns in the countryside of Hama province from the abomination of terrorism The Ministry of Communications, with local expertise, and through the transfer of surplus equipment from other telephone centers, was able to rehabilitate a number of damaged telephone centers, including the Tire Center in 2019, and today the Taibah Imam telephone center and soon the Tremseh telephone center in the Mahrada area.

The Governor of Hama, Eng. Muhammad Tariq Kreshati, referred to the great efforts made by the technical teams of communications in Hama, which have culminated in success in restoring the telephone service to the goodness of the Imam by rehabilitating the building, installing all components, sections and equipment of the center, linking it optically, and laying the secondary, main and optical cables destroyed by the terrorists.

For his part, Engineer Munib Al-Asfar, Director of the Syrian Telecommunications Company branch in Hama, pointed out that the Taiba Al-Imam Center was out of service at the end of August 2016 after it was severely sabotaged by the terrorist organizations that stole the main cables, indicating that with regard to the network, a central contract was awarded to implement the first phase The value of the pledge and cables amounted to about 90 million Syrian pounds, indicating that, to date, four sub-groups have been connected to 120 phone boxes ready to provide the service, and other groups will be added successively. As for the optical cable, it was rehabilitated and installed with the center being linked with the Al Quwatli Center.

Ahmed Shamait, head of the Taibah al-Imam town council, and a number of the city's residents expressed their joy at the return of the telecommunications service to their city after it had been cut off for several years due to its positive effects and repercussions on the lives of the people, especially in light of the current circumstances.

The opening was attended by the Secretary of the Hama Branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Eng. Muhammad Ashraf Bashauri, the General Manager of the Telecommunications Company, Engineer Saifuddin Hasan, and civil activists.
