The SVG Lüneburg is increasingly becoming the favorite opponent of the WWK Volleys Herrsching.
In a fast run, the Ammerseer defeated the guests from the far north on Saturday evening.
After 81 minutes, the almost safe 3-0 (25:17, 25:17, 33:31) home win was dry.
This enabled the team of coach Max Hauser to catch up with the broad mid-table.
Herrsching - It is
not uncommon for the players to look at the statistics sheet after a game.
At least the Herrschinger should have taken note of the numbers with pleasure.
Attack rate 65 percent, even 74 percent according to a good assumption, only seven service errors, nine block points.
Captain Johannes Tille also found more than satisfactory values.
With Lüneburg's Jannik Pörner and Herrschings Jalen Penrose, the two top scorers had to pass due to injury at short notice.
Penrose was twisted in training on Thursday.
However, "the injury doesn't seem to be that serious," said Max Hauser.
The Herrsching head coach didn't want to take any risks against Lüneburg.
Jonas Kaminski played on the diagonal for Penrose.
And the 24-year-old from Braunschweig, who has only played sporadically last season and so far this season, did an exceptionally good job.
A total of 13 points went to the account of the Penrose representative.
Hauser was "very satisfied" with Kaminski's performance.
The fans of the WWK volleys named him player of the evening.
The official MVP honor was once again awarded to Johannes Tille.
For the 23-year-old setter, the absence of his top attacker wasn't a big problem.
“In training I play with Jonas as often as with Jalen,” explained Tille.
Tille served each of his attackers almost equally.
This was also reflected in the point yield.
Kaminksi and Jori Mantha each had 13 points, Tim Peter and Dorde Ilic had eleven points.
"In the first two movements we played exactly as I imagined," said Hauser.
“We served smartly, blocked well.” In addition, the WWK volleys themselves only allowed four blocks and four aces.
Hauser: "That’s really strong against such a strong block and serve team like Lüneburg."
From the first rally, the home side made it clear that the three points would stay in Herrsching.
The Hauser crew rolled over the Lüneburgers in express train fashion.
The first technical time out was 8: 4, the second 16: 9.
Relatively relaxed, but still highly focused, the WWK volleys played the sentence to the end.
It is significant that a Lüneburg service error sealed the set win (25:17).
The WWK volleys didn’t let up in the second round either.
While Kaminski & Co. played almost flawlessly, the "LüneHünen" didn't do much.
Again the Herrschinger were able to break away quickly (8: 2).
The home side continuously expanded their lead.
Impressive: The Ammerseer did not make a single attack error.
With a ball from the back area, Tim Peter finally won the set (25:17).
The third round was then much more balanced.
Herrsching slacked off a bit, the guests got a bit better, but still played well below their level.
The Herrschinger left six match balls unused, then it was again Peter who was responsible for the decision (33:31).
Even if the third movement was ultimately happy.
Over the entire game we deserved and clearly the winner, ”said Hauser.
Tille celebrated the first home win with his teammates and almost 20 fans on the window pane with a winning Humba.
In the coming week, the WWK Volleys will be traveling twice.
On Wednesday (7 p.m.) Tille & Co. will play at Netzhoppers Königs Wusterhausen, and 24 hours later at VCO Berlin.
