A contemplative break to escape the pre-Christmas stress: This is what the Erdinger Advent calendar offers again in December - under Corona conditions.

Erding -

For eight years, those responsible for the Erdinger Advent Calendar have been meeting at the Katholisches Bildungswerk (KBW) Erding and putting together events and tips for personal implementation for the Advent season.

Also in this Corona year, Carina Dollberger (advisor for adult education at KBW), art historian Heike Kronseder and Sandra Angermaier from the district association for homeland protection and monument preservation have come up with a fine program.

As every year, the patron is Mayor Max Gotz.

"Also or especially this year we want to give hope and with a well thought-out Advent program under strict hygiene rules give people half an hour off every day, not least to relieve psychological pressure and convey joy in the Christian faith", says KBW- Managing Director Hans Otto Seitschek.

"Many of the events take place outside in the fresh air," emphasizes Dollberger.

The Erdinger advent calendar includes a walk in the city park.

Artist Harry Seeholzer will explain the works of art in the park on December 3rd.

A number of events also take place in the garden of the Franz Xaver Stahl Museum.

You can find out interesting facts about Advent in general (December 1st) and the secrets of the Barbara branches (December 4th).

Sandra Angermaier talks about the Rauhnächte on December 21st.

Doris Bauer offers short city walks on the topics of "Katharina and Friedrich Fischer - benefactors in Erding" (December 7th) and "Our Holy Spirit Court" (December 11th).

Angermaier leads through the old town on December 16.

In the city library, Silke Hörold-Ries reads humorous Advent stories under the title “Erna, the tree needs” to spread a little humor even in the serious current situation (December 14th).

Nikolaus Hintermaier reports on angels in front of the parish church of the Annunciation in Altenerding (December 8th).

Anyone who wants to know more about the atmospheric song “Es wird scho glei dumpa” will find out from Carina Dollberger on December 17th.

Pastor Martin Garmaier will organize an Advent service on December 18th.

The Advent program this year is garnished with tips and impulses for everyone.

The flyer designed by graphic designer Gertrud Eichinger is available in the Katholisches Bildungswerk, Kirchgasse 7, and in the town hall, Landshuter Straße 1, and can be downloaded from the Internet at www.kbw-erding.de.

Important: This year a registration at KBW Erding is absolutely necessary for all events, by e-mail to info@kbw-erding.de or on tel. (0 81 22) 16 06. Without registration you cannot be there.

Mouth and nose protection must be worn, the distance rules must be observed.

All events start at 4 p.m. and last 30 minutes.

If there are further restrictions due to the corona pandemic, the KBW, as the organizer, will react to this and inform at short notice if an event has to be canceled, said Seitschek.
