Francisco Sagasti will be the next president of Peru

Peru's Congress elected a new board of directors that will be chaired by legislator Francisco Sagasti, from the Purple Party.

As the new leader of the Legislative Power, Sagasti will become president of the country, after the irrevocable resignation of Manuel Merino, presented this Sunday.

Sagasti will be sworn in this Tuesday.
