A dump truck overturned accident in Wan Chai.
At about 5 am on Tuesday (17th), a hopper truck loaded with construction waste was driving along the Canal Road flyover towards Happy Valley.
On the way to a left turn near the Wan Chai Interchange off the Hung Hom Cross-Harbour Tunnel, he lost control and turned to the right. The waste in the bucket was scattered all over the floor.
After the accident, the male driver was trapped in the car. The firefighter rushed to the report and used tools to break the sunroof of the truck's cab to rescue the driver. Fortunately, he suffered minor injuries to his foot and was sent to Ruttonjee Hospital by ambulance.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
