Ethics officer of the National Assembly since August 2017, Agnès Roblot-Troizier resigned Tuesday November 17 from her functions, AFP learned from a parliamentary source, without further details at this stage.
The ethics officer of the National Assembly, an independent function created in 2011, is responsible for advising deputies on any delicate situation in terms of ethics and alerting the office of the institution in the event of a breach.

Since taking office with the Assembly following the legislative elections of 2017, Ms. Roblot-Troizier had a new function, the control of deputies' mandate expenses.
She had been appointed on the proposal of the President of the National Assembly at the start of the legislature, François de Rugy.
This former member of the Jospin Commission for the renovation and ethics of public life also holds a doctorate in public law.
