A construction worker suffered first-degree burn injuries on his left hand on Monday evening at a construction site in Wolfsleben (Neuching municipality).
Niederneuching - According to the police, the 48-year-old precision mechanic wanted to refuel a compressor around 6 p.m.
For a previously unknown cause, a jet flame ignited during the refueling process.
The compressor caught fire, which also affected an adjacent hedge and the neighbour's garden fence, the police said.
The control center in Erding alerted the fire brigades Ober- and Niederneuching, Altenerding, Eicherloh, Finsing and Moosinning.
However, significantly fewer forces then had to extinguish.
There was property damage of around 6500 euros.
An ambulance cared for the man before he came to the hospital as a precaution.
