Former Labor leader Jeremy Corbyn was returned to the party yesterday (Tuesday) after being suspended following his disregard for a critical report on his treatment of the party's anti-Semitism phenomenon.
Last month, the UK Equality and Human Rights Commission announced that there was evidence that the UK's main opposition party had failed to train anti - Semitic investigators, intervened in the political process and persecuted various elements.
The 71-year-old far-left man claimed that his opponents and the media exaggerated the extent of the party's anti-Semitism phenomenon, saying that his efforts to deal with it had been blocked by the "party bureaucracy".
His successor, Wall Starmer, tried to open a new page from the Corbin era, in an attempt to bring back voters after four consecutive losses in the general election.
"I know this is another painful day for the Jewish community and for Labor members who are struggling hard against anti-Semitism," he tweeted.
"I am absolutely determined to make the Labor Party a safe place for the Jews."
Party officials are pressuring Starmer not to return Corbin to his seat in parliament.

Corbyn welcomed the party's national executive committee decision to return him to its ranks after three weeks, saying the focus should be on replacing Boris Johnson's Conservative government.
"Our movement must unite now to resist and defeat this conservative and harmful government," he said.
However, Jewish community organizations attacked Corbyn's return.
"The mountain that Labor has to climb to regain the trust of our community has only become higher," they said.
