The School of Public Health and Primary Medical Care of the Faculty of Medicine of the Chinese University of Hong Kong today (18th) published a new study. The study found that in the first and second wave of new coronary pneumonia in Hong Kong, bars and karaokes caused the most transmission. 91 cases; the bar group is the longest transmission chain, extending to 30 other groups within 26 days, causing transmission in 7 environments.
The research team believes that most of the customers who spend time in entertainment venues do not know each other. Coupled with the long stay, it is easy to cause group-to-group communication and the ability to form a transmission chain is higher than that of restaurants.
The team believes that some of the hotel's functions have been changed from accommodation to "staycation" and other social venues, which is more likely to become the fourth wave of outbreak venues.

Li Ruishan, deputy director of the Stanley Ho Research Center for Infectious Diseases, School of Medicine, CUHK, said that most of the customers who spend time in entertainment venues do not know each other, and their staying time is long, which can easily cause group-to-group transmission and form transmission chains. Go higher.
Li Ruishan estimates that if the fourth wave of epidemic breaks out, the spread caused by home and daily life will still exist, but there will not be many groups. Instead, "entertainment-style social occasions" and emerging venues are more likely to cause outbreaks. "A new exposure to the environment, For example, the hotel itself has never used 嚟 for staycation."
