During a visit to the northern sector today (Tuesday), Defense Minister Bnei Gantz claimed that laying the arena in the Golan Heights was an "intolerable" event.
This statement is related to other statements, specifically about the southern arena, which at the beginning of the week again had tensions in light of rocket fire, ostensibly as a result of lightning.
This is an unbearable situation that has lasted for years.
The situation on the Lebanese border is also unbearable.
Forces have been tense for more than a month in the face of Hezbollah's response to the elimination of an operative in Syria.
It is impossible not to ask - how unbearable the situation?
Reality proves it is quite bearable.
Fact - We live with this, and frankly, the defense establishment radiates some embarrassment around the arsenal of responses that have so far been given to the "unbearable" situations described.
The trend we are seeing is very clear, and it unequivocally connects to what is happening in the United States.
Do not rush to look - the ones leading the reality are the Iranians, who completely control Syria, Lebanon, and pull the strings of Islamic Jihad in Gaza.
Iran understands that the chaos prevailing in America after the election is a great time for them to sniff out escalation.
In the face of Biden's election to the presidency, the Iranians have internalized that the path of laxity led by Obama is back on the agenda, including the defeatist nuclear deal.
They recognize weakness in the Trump administration, and brush up on swords.
Thus, they succeed in launching a range of terrorist acts around the borders of Israel - in the north, in the east and in the south.
This is not clear in order to understand the geo-strategic reality that stems from the political fog in America.
And not just there.
Here, too, in Israel, quite a few embarrassments have been recorded in the face of the unity government that produces a strong impression of political mini-anarchy.
Everyone is engaged in a quarrel with everyone, and the Iranians, stand aside and rub their hands with great pleasure.
Within this story, it is important to focus on the Golan.
On the Lebanese border and on the Gaza Strip border, the situation has not changed significantly recently, while the Golan Heights is a developing arena, which is an opportunity for the Iranians to establish their capabilities.
Israel's covert campaign against the threat sometimes leads to successes, combining accurate intelligence and attacks, mostly from the air.
Syrian President Assad, who managed to survive the civil war, apparently allows the Iranians to operate in his territory freely.
Defense Minister Ganz's message is that the person responsible for the operation in the Golan is Syria.
This is a correct claim - an action carried out from the sovereign territory of Israel obliges Syria to bear responsibility.
So far it is clear.
But what is the operative action that is supposed to be a "finishing leg" for the defense minister's statement?
Will the IDF act against the Syrians? Will the faltering Israeli government escalate the situation on the Golan Heights? It is highly doubtful that this will happen.
This dynamic makes it clear that as long as the instability of government in Israel and America continues to stand out, we will receive further reminders from the Iranians of instability at the borders.
In the reality that exists today, every event has the potential for significant deterioration, to the point of war.
This is a trend that may mark a democratic term in the White House, but it has an important message - the weakness of the West is immediately reflected in the Iranian awakening, and there is no time for grace.
And when it comes to Israel: Leaders should use more sophisticated terminology.
To say of any event that it is "unbearable", while there is no significant response or taking an Israeli initiative in a significant action, sends a clear message that it is definitely tolerable.
Regardless of what is happening in America, at least in our country, we should not broadcast laxity.
