What are Poland and Hungary playing?
In the midst of the second wave of the pandemic in Europe, the two countries are endangering the entire fragile budget structure developed by the Union since July.
Warsaw and Budapest on Monday vetoed the exceptional recovery fund of 750 billion euros and the 2021-2027 budget of the Union, to which it is linked.
This historic "package", delivered with forceps at the end of a four-day (and night) summit of the Twenty-Seven in July, therefore finds itself in an impasse, after four months of difficult negotiations between the executive and the European Parliament.
