Rivlin congratulates Biden: "Our friendship is rooted in the values above party politics"
The president spoke with the president-elect of the United States, telling him that "we have no doubt that under your leadership the United States is committed to Israel's security and prosperity."
Rivlin also asked Biden to convey his best wishes to the vice-president of the team, Kamla Harris.
"The United States has no stronger ally than Israel, and there is no stronger ally between the peoples"

President Rivlin spoke today (Tuesday) with the President-elect of the United States, Joe Biden, and congratulated him on his election victory.
"As a longtime member of the State of Israel, you know that our membership is rooted in the values that stand above party politics and we have no doubt that under your leadership the United States is committed to Israel's security and prosperity," Rivlin told Biden during the conversation.
"The United States has no stronger ally than the State of Israel, no stronger than the friendship between the American people and the people of Israel, and the president of the United States has no greater member than the president of the State of Israel, as we have proven over the years," President Rivlin added.

The president further noted that he expects to work with the president-elect to build more bridges and hope for the region, as recently signed by Avraham agreements.
"I was pleased to welcome you to Jerusalem as Vice President, and I will be happy to welcome you here in Jerusalem when you come to visit as President," the president said, asking Biden to convey his best wishes to the Vice President, Kamla Harris.

Biden spoke with President Rivlin before speaking with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following a series of talks with world leaders in recent days.
Netanyahu said in a statement to the media yesterday that he expects to talk to Biden soon but the conversation has not yet taken place.
