Outgoing US President Donald Trump has sacked the director of the Agency for Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security in charge of ensuring the security of the elections, Chris Krebs, for denying that there were fraud in the elections, which he lost to Joe Biden.
Trump said in a tweet on Twitter that "the recent statement issued by Chris Krebs on the security of the 2020 elections was not accurate at all ... as there were irregularities and widespread fraud."
Last week, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, headed by Cripps, issued a joint statement with other local and federal government agencies responsible for election security in which it said .. "The November 3rd elections were the safest in the history of the United States." Any evidence that any electoral system has omitted, lost or modified votes, or that it has been compromised in any way.
Trump continues his refusal to acknowledge his defeat in the presidential election to his Democratic rival Joe Biden, reiterating his claim that he "won those elections."
