Businesses: why landlords are less angry than in the spring

DECRYPTION - Anger does not roar as much as during the first confinement, but caution remains in order despite financial assistance from the State.


During the first confinement, the donors, especially the small ones, of commercial premises displayed their anger.

The government had asked them to suspend their rent.

Eight months later, there was a new start: the businesses had to close again.

But this time, Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy, asks them to waive their rent altogether.

In return, the State will pay 50% of the rent for the lessors of companies with less than 250 employees.

For companies with 250 to 5,000 employees, the device applies but within the limit of 2/3 of the rent (see the tweet below).
