Kate del Castillo reveals in an interview that she thought El Chapo would rape her in their 2015 meeting

Few stories have so many media elements, Hollywood stars and drug traffickers included, as the meeting that Kate del Castillo and Sean Penn had with El Chapo.

This Wednesday, in an interview with the program

(hosted by Gloria, Lili and Emily Estefan), the actress has revealed new details of the 2015 encounter that ended with the drug dealer's arrest.

“I thought he was going to rape and kill me for good, something like that.

And you know what?

I can do it.

He could do whatever he wanted, ”says Del Castillo.

In a relaxed talk full of feminist demands, in which the actress defends her decision not to have children and recognizes the privilege of having the resources to get out of the relationship of gender violence she had with soccer player Luis García Postigo, recounts the fear she felt in those hours at El Chapo's house and the "betrayal" of Penn and the two producers, which almost ended up with her behind bars as well.

The well-known story of El Chapo and Kate del Castillo begins with a tweet in 2012 in which she writes that she has more confidence in the drug trafficker than in the Mexican government "which hides the truth."

In this interview with the Estefans, Del Castillo qualifies his words: “It was not directed at El Chapo at all.

It was an open-hearted manifesto ”.

This interaction led the powerful leader of the Sinaloa cartel to entrust him with his story exclusively.

In Toluca, lawyers offer Kate del Castillo the rights to El Chapo's story.
