The distillery needed more space to expand the Lantenhammer site in Hausham.
The managing directors found what they were looking for in the neighborhood - with the Trigema branch.
Hausham
- Lantenhammer continues to grow in Hausham.
The distillery is planning a new
commercial building
and
three apartment buildings
on its neighboring property
.
The prerequisite was the purchase of the Trigema branch.
And their boss came to the negotiation in style -
by helicopter
.
While the Trigema boss was talking to the managing directors of Lantenhammer, his pilot refueled the helicopter.
He didn't have too much time for this because the purchase of the property was quickly fixed.
Wolfgang Grupp called a
“fair fixed price”
, reports Andreas Gritschneder with a smile.
Haggling was
pointless
.
The distillery from Hausham could live with the result.
Together with the car park behind the Trigema branch on Obere Tiefenbachstrasse, it now has a
4300 square
meter area
across
from its company location.
And so the two managing directors Gritschneder and Tobias Maier have
big
plans for the coming years
.
The starting point of the project is the increasingly
tight space available
in the old warehouse, explains Gritschneder.
The product portfolio has recently been continuously expanded with gin and rumult.
Since it was no longer possible to expand the existing stock with the experience distillery that was built in 2014, people looked around
in the neighborhood
.
First, the eye fell on the opposite parking lot, which was ultimately also bought by the municipality.
Since the approximately 2400 square meter area would have been difficult to develop because of the Trigema branch standing in the way, they
knocked
on the luck
of the group boss Grupp.

Farewell to Trigema planned anyway
It
turned out to be
a
perfect time
.
When asked by our newspaper, Grupp reported
that the Hausham site
never
ran
perfectly
.
And this despite the fact that the store, which opened in the late 1980s, was one of the first Trigema stores that it built itself.
“The euphoria was greater than the success,” says Grupp.
The corona crisis and the
online shop
, which is
booming
in his company,
would have induced him to say goodbye to Hausham.
So the request from neighbor Lantenhammer came at just the right time.
In order to take away the Christmas business, the
branch
will be
kept
open until January 16
.
Company mix in the new building
What will then happen to the 600 square meter building has not yet been determined, according to Gritschneder.
An
extension
as well as a
demolition and new building are up for
debate
.
In any case, the goal is a building with a floor area of around
900 to 1000 square meters
and two to two and a half full storeys.
In addition to the aforementioned warehouse, there will also be space for the Essendorfer pleasure smelter, in which Lantenhammer is known to be involved.
Furthermore, one is already in discussion with other interested parties.
The
IBB vocational training center
, which is currently housed in the top floor at Lantenhammer, could also move.
New living space is to be created
But the industry is only part of the project.
In the rear part of the property, on the slope in the direction of the holiday village Holz, the distillery is planning
multi-family houses with two- to four-room apartments
that are to be offered for rent.
The residential buildings are shielded from the rest of the commercial area by the commercial building facing Obere Tiefenbachstrasse, which also improves immission control.
The construction and the materials used should be
sustainable and regional
in line with the company's
philosophy
.
The local council was impressed by the plans
Because the area is designated as a
mixed
area and is located in a development plan area, Lantenhammer has already presented his project (not publicly) to the local council.
The feedback was positive, reports Gritschneder.
Mayor Jens Zangenfeind confirms this. The Lantenhammer company presented "a
very interesting future project
".
The aim of the community is that local companies have a permanent home and offer jobs.
"This also means that they (luckily)
grow
."
Conversion also planned in the existing building
Lantenhammer intends to do this in the long term.
Gritschneder hopes that the development plan change will be initiated in one of the upcoming municipal council meetings and that the building
permit will be
available
by the end of 2021
.
In the future, plans are also being made to
increase the size of the old warehouse
and to modernize the
energetically outdated administration building
.
"All in all, that will keep us
busy for
five years
," explains the managing director.
Gritschneder and Maier have saved a memento of the starting shot for the company archive: the
kerosene canister
with which Wolfgang Grupp's helicopter was
refueled
after landing in Hausham
.
