The director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergey Naryshkin, confirmed today that the United States and its NATO allies are trying to stir up discord between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The press office of the Intelligence Service quoted Naryshkin as saying, according to Sputnik: “The main countries in NATO are trying to hide their annoyance over the agreement that was reached with the active participation of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia regarding the ceasefire in Nagorny Karabakh,” adding: “Washington and its allies are upset about The war was stopped with Moscow's mediation .. After all this .. in fact, their long years of work were canceled.

Naryshkin pointed out that “Washington and a united Europe do not want to bear the existing balance of power in the region,” noting that in order to dismantle it, they did not think of anything better than trying to stir up strife again between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Armenia.

On the ninth of this month, Armenia and Azerbaijan signed a ceasefire agreement in Nagorny Karabakh, which stipulates that Armenian and Azerbaijani forces stop at their current locations and Russian peacekeepers will be deployed along the line of contact in Karabakh and the corridor connecting the Armenian lands and Karabakh.
