Blackmail, creditors' fraud, concealment of assets and money laundering - these are just some of the offenses attributed to entrepreneur Oren Kobi, who founded the "Land" group, in a serious indictment filed against him

An indictment was filed today (Thursday) against developer Oren Kobi in the Tel Aviv District Court.
Among other things, Kobi is charged with extortion, aggravated assault, creditors' fraud, concealment of property, receiving anything fraudulently under aggravated circumstances, tax offenses, VAT law offenses and money laundering.
According to the indictment, in 2012, Kobi founded the "Land" group, which dealt with the exclusive trading of options for the purchase of agricultural land.
Four years later, the company collapsed and Kobe then went into bankruptcy and liquidation proceedings.
Beginning in 2017, while under criminal investigation and after a receivership order was imposed on his assets, Kobi secretly set up an array of companies whose field of business is the same as that of "Land".
According to the indictment, since he knew that banking institutions and state authorities would refuse to provide him with services, the developer registered AA and another woman as owners of companies.
At the same time, as part of the raid and liquidation proceedings, the creditors demanded more than NIS 244 million from the defendant and "Land".
But in order to continue generating income for his personal use and to hide it from his people - Kobi worked to establish companies in a field similar to that of the "land" company, disguising his control over them.
According to the indictment, starting in 2017, the defendant, through the array of companies, brought in income in the amount of approximately NIS 72 million.
He transferred the proceeds to designated bank accounts so that he could hide his assets from his creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
All this, in parallel with the agreement that Kobi entered into with the creditors - which was approved in the court decision in April 2018 - which is based on false statements and false representations regarding the state of his assets and sources of income.
The creditors 'settlement, which according to the indictment was obtained fraudulently, benefited Kobi in that he removed a variety of restrictions imposed on him, allowed him to work and determined that he must pay the creditors' fund NIS 16 million within seven years,
The debt forgiveness is estimated at NIS 33 million.
It was further stated that in order to meet the payment terms set forth in the creditors 'arrangement, Kobi transferred his assets from the membership array to the creditors' fund through third parties in order to conceal his assets.
If that wasn't enough, since 2017, Kobi has transferred assets from the companies 'array of NIS 19 million for his personal use, among other things for the benefit of luxury vehicles such as Mercedes Bend, Ferrari and Land Rover, and fees for attorneys' fees. He transferred over NIS 8 million from one of the companies' coffers for his personal needs without registering as required in the membership books. In addition, the defendant omitted a transaction in the amount of over NIS 1 million from the company's records.
The indictment also stated that AA, which owned five companies in the membership array, did not make a material decision in the company, Mudra, was blackmailed into threatening to oppose the way the companies were conducted, and the defendant even threatened to distribute an intimate video of her.
In two different cases, Kobe even attacked AA.
To intimidate her and make her continue to cooperate with him.
Among other things, Kobe sent her the following messages: "Tomorrow if there are no new checks of ... I will fold you into a box";
"If you play with the slogans; tomorrow morning there are no workers; you are taken back to the cemetery";
"I put you and your mother in a virtue next to your father on Sunday; wait and see who Oren Kobi is this time ... I'll see whose girlfriend this is for the last time";
"And again you will understand, it is difficult for you to internalize that I set up the business and put it in your name; we will also reach the cemetery; everything goes."
Also, during the period relevant to the indictment, Kobe attacked an employee who worked under him as a salesman, and also threatened a seller, who sold him a catchy cell phone number but cut him off due to a dispute over payments for that number.
According to the indictment, Kobi also threatened a landowner linked to the membership array, who sought to remove the warning notes recorded on the land he owned due to a debt of the membership array.
