A mutilated horse was found dead Thursday, November 19 in the meadow of its owner near Graulhet in the Tarn, we learned from the gendarmerie.

The animal, discovered by motorists, "
was the victim of mutilation and had his ears cut off, an eye and jaw torn off,
" explains an official of the Tarn gendarmerie group.
An autopsy of the horse is scheduled for Friday as well as toxicological samples.
Since August, dozens of investigations have been opened following the sometimes fatal mutilations of equines on French territory.
