After confirming that his second coronavirus swab was negative, and being authorized to leave isolation behind, President Alberto Fernández left this Thursday for Uruguay, where he met with his counterpart from that country Luis Lacalle Pou, as confirmed by
Clarín.
Until noon, there was no official information on the reasons for the sudden trip.
The President left from the villa in Olivos, where he had been isolated due to suspicions of coronavirus.
He traveled to Uruguay with a Federal Police helicopter.
The nexus of the trip was the Uruguayan ambassador, Francisco Bustillo, who has a very good relationship with Fernández.
He would be accompanied on the trip by the spokesman Pablo Biondi and the Secretary General of the Presidency Julio Vitobello, who were isolated in Olivos along with Fernández.
According to official sources, Foreign Minister Felipe Solá was not from the party.
In principle, the trip would be for a few hours and it is not ruled out that he has a meeting with Lacalle Pou with whom he has not had meetings since he assumed as President.
