The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled illegal Thursday, November 19 the ban in France on the marketing of cannabidiol (CBD), stressing that this molecule present in hemp (or cannabis sativa) has "
not psychotropic effect or harmful effect on human health
”.

The CJEU ruling concerns cannabidiol "
legally produced in another member state of the European Union when it is extracted from the cannabis sativa plant in its entirety
".
It should deprive many lawsuits in France of a legal basis.
