Mass screening began at 8 am in South Tyrol.

The goal is to subject 70% of the population, or 350,000 people, to the rapid swab examination.

The carpet tests will last three days, until Sunday, from 8 to 18. They are carried out in all the municipalities of South Tyrol in almost 200 garrisons.

In many cases these are the gyms of the polling stations.

The asymptomatic will have to stay in quarantine for ten days.

With mass screening, the Autonomous Province intends to bend the treatment of infections.

On Tuesday the kindergartens and elementary schools will reopen.

There are 60,000 South Tyroleans who have booked so far for the mass screening in progress until Sunday.

Florian Zerzer, general manager of the health company, told ANSA.

In the smaller municipalities the tests take place by appointment and by appointment, while in the larger ones during the pre-established time windows.

"In all 116 municipalities in South Tyrol, 600 test lines are in operation", added Zerzer.

Fast tampons occur at a rate of one every 1-2 minutes.

In addition to the national and international press, three observers from the Austrian government also came to Bolzano to study the conduct of mass screening.

There is a huge influx of citizens from Bolzano for mass screening.

In many parts of the city in front of the principals, in almost all cases the traditional polling stations, long queues have formed.

Until Sunday, South Tyroleans are invited to undergo the rapid swab voluntarily and free of charge.

In Bolzano, according to the streets and the house number, 'time windows' have been assigned to participate.
