Today, the Indian Ministry of Health announced that the number of new infections with the Coronavirus in the country has exceeded nine million, the second highest death toll in the world after the United States.
AFP quoted the ministry as saying that the total number of recorded cases of Covid 19 exceeded nine million and four thousand, including 126,132 deaths.
India is the second country most affected by the virus in terms of the number of infections and deaths caused by the virus, behind the United States, which has recorded more than 11.7 million cases of Covid 19, including more than a quarter of a million deaths.
Although the number of daily HIV infections in India recorded a decrease last October, the country is still registering about 45,000 new infections per day on average.
