On a circular route between Poing and Grub there is now interesting information about nature and agriculture.
Who built the new nature trail:
What's going on in the hedge?
Which animals live in the immediate vicinity in fields, in small forests and in the open ground?
Which crops are grown in fields and why?
“Experience agriculture and biodiversity” is the motto of the agro-ecological educational trail set up by the Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture (LfL) and the state property in Grub.
On a circular route between Poing and Grub, ideal for cycling and walking, "eleven display boards provide information on various facets of biodiversity, on topics such as wild and honey bees, flowering areas, wild animals, soil life, hedges and borders, grazing and environmentally friendly plant cultivation," shares Katharina Riederer from the LfL.
Signs and signs guide walkers and cyclists on a route around an area of the state property.
The best way to find the path from Poing is via the Mitterfeldweg, which leads directly south on Bergfeldsee towards Landsham.
There is parking for cars right at the lake.

An official opening of the educational trail cannot currently take place due to Corona, says Riederer from the public relations department at LfL, this should be made up for in early summer 2021.
When the nature trail with a representative information point is completed.
This will be set up near the visitor parking lot of the test farms in Grub and will provide information not only on the nature trail but also on the LfL site in Grub itself.
Nevertheless, the nature trail can already be walked and visited now.
Especially in Corona times like these a nice excursion option for families.
Last weekend, numerous hikers and cyclists were already on the trail.
In addition to display and information boards, some stations also have interactive elements such as telescopes (for a "journey through agriculture"), a memory on biodiversity and a movement game, says Katharina Riederer.
"The aim of the Grub educational trail is to illustrate the importance of biological diversity and at the same time to show a realistic picture of modern agriculture." A beautiful and informative hiking or cycling tour option, not just in Corona times.
Two years ago, the LfL site in Grub celebrated its 100th birthday.
