Former President Mauricio Macri, other opposition leaders and the Delegation of Argentine Israelite Associations (DAIA) questioned this Sunday a journalistic note that was published in the newspaper Página / 12 that relates the Buenos Aires Minister of Education, Soledad Acuña, with the Nazi hierarch Erich Priebke.

The note that made it to the front of the newspaper is entitled

"Bad education"

and focuses on the German school Bariloche Primo Caprano attended by Acuña, and which for years was led by the former captain of the Central Security Office of the SS.

"

Shameful

. This cover and this story have nothing to do with journalism and harm democracy," the former president wrote on his Twitter account and added his "solidarity and support for the minister."

Shameful.

This cover and this story have nothing to do with journalism and damage democracy.

My solidarity and support to the Minister of Education of the City of Buenos Aires, Soledad Acuña.

From the DAIA they warned in a statement that the article "is intended to associate his speech (that of Soledad Acuña) with his schooling at the German School in Bariloche, run by a cultural association to which Priebke belonged."

"When we read the title, the news impacts in a way, but when reading the note, everything is forced.

It is wrong to distort interpretations

. It is wrong to force arguments. It is wrong because if these efforts are needed to found positions we empty ourselves of foundations" they questioned.

And they remarked that what the minister said about teachers in recent days "may not like it, or for others it may be adjusted, but we will not equip or force these wild duels between some using the 'Nazi' for everything."

In the article published by Página / 12 about the Minister of Education of CABA, Soledad Acuña, linking her expressions, lucky or unfortunate, about teachers, it is intended to associate her speech with her schooling at the German School of Bariloche, ➡️

For her part, the president of PRO and former Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, considered that the objective of the note "is to feed the story to deepen the division of Argentines" and added that "the cover of Page 12 offends not only the minister, but all Argentines. "

"You cannot build a future with violence and indoctrination. It would be good for the ruling party to repudiate these practices," he emphasized in the message he posted on Twitter.

The deputy head of the Buenos Aires Government, Diego Santilli, also added to the criticism, who argued that "linking Acuña with one of the saddest and most tragic stages in history is unacceptable."

Linking @Soledad_Acunia with one of the saddest and most tragic stages in history is unacceptable.

My total repudiation of this forced accusation, which does not build and affects who I consider to be a great person, an excellent civil servant and responsible for an impeccable management.

"My total rejection of this forced accusation, which does not build and which affects who I consider a great person, an excellent civil servant and responsible for an impeccable management," he declared.

Meanwhile, the president of the ARI Civic Coalition, Maximiliano Ferraro, described it as "regrettable and sad cover of Page 12", at the same time that he opined that the note "trivializes Nazism" from "a fascist and reprehensible attitude that they hide under freedom of expression and information ".

"We repudiate the cover of Page 12, an offense not only to the minister but to all Argentines," added Deputy Graciela Ocaña.

This note comes after the strong controversy generated by statements by Acuña that went viral on social networks, in which he called to "report" when there are acts of "indoctrination" in schools.

"The root of what is over-ideologized and political militancy in the classrooms is in teacher training, it is in how we teach what a teacher is, in the profile that is defined on what it is to be a teacher," the Buenos Aires Minister of Education had stated in a talk he had with the politician and journalist Fernando Iglesias.
