German energy trading company Uniber confirmed that the United States is still trying to undermine the Nord Stream project, "Northern Torrent 2", to transport gas from Russia to Europe.
A company spokesperson told Sputnik, "Uniber notes with regret that the United States is still trying to undermine the important infrastructure project, Nord Stream 2, which we believe is necessary for energy security in Europe, and this is clear of European sovereignty."
It is noteworthy that the "Northern Torrent 2" project includes building two pipelines to transport gas from Russia with a total capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas annually through the Baltic Sea, regional waters or the exclusive economic zones of Russia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Germany.
