An opposition candidate published a harsh letter addressed to Cristina Kirchner, where she expresses her concern about

the "deteriorating course of the country that has

worsened under the leadership of the current government."

This is Cynthia Hotton, former vice president candidate in the formula led by Juan José Gómez Centurión for the NOS Front in 2019 and one of the main references of the celestial handkerchiefs in her fight against the legalization of abortion.

"I write to you as an Argentine, a political leader, a mother and a woman,"

the text begins.

And he refers to the letter published by the vice president at the end of October, where he pointed to the

"officials who do not work"

in the government of Alberto Fernández, but where he also called for a dialogue of all sectors.

"In other moments of national difficulty, the importance of reaching a consensus on fundamental State policies has been raised, however, specific factors have prevented it, they have failed. It is understandable, because to reach consensus it is necessary to abandon extreme positions and relegate ideologies, and unfortunately,

his public legacy and political personality has been one of the factors that has prevented us as a nation from reaching fundamental agreements

, "says Hotton.

And he asks him to

"

step

aside and let the country grow"

, as well as to stop "abusing his position as vice president and meddling in functions that do not concern him."

This Sunday, President Alberto Fernández gave an extensive report where he referred to his relationship with Cristina, where he said that "the secret of the coalition is to take care of the susceptibility of the other" and that management decisions go through his office.

"

Only by recovering public trust in the current president

, as a legitimate interlocutor, could we explore and advance the fundamental agreements that allow us, in these difficult times, to advance together as a nation and achieve the momentum we need to grow again - and from one once and for all- socially, economically and democratically, "he says.

And he concludes: "For this reason,

I pray to God, source of all reason and justice, to enlighten it and give it the inner strength necessary to allow the country to grow

even at the expense of itself."

It should be remembered that during the electoral campaign last year, Hotton carried out several events with a large part of the evangelical churches in the country and drew the vote of that sector with a "pro-life" speech.

The full letter

"

Dear Cristina

:

I write to you as an Argentine, a political leader, a mother and a woman.

As Argentina, concerned about the country's declining course sharpened under the leadership of the current government.

As a political leader, because I have been a national deputy as you once were and today I see the loss of prestige of politics before the citizens.

As a mother, because I want my three children and millions of young Argentines to once again see the future of our country with hope.

And, fundamentally, I write to you as a woman, because I think that women should be pillars and examples for the family and society.

A short time ago, you yourself, in a letter published publicly, proposed a great agreement of all sectors to move the country forward.

In other moments of national difficulty, the importance of agreeing on fundamental State policies has been raised, however, specific factors have prevented it, they have failed.

It is understandable, because to reach consensus it is necessary to abandon extreme positions and relegate ideologies, and unfortunately, his public legacy and his political personality has been one of the factors that have prevented us as a nation from reaching fundamental agreements.

I recognize that you knew how to take a cunning first step aside to achieve your return to power, yielding your candidacy for the presidency.

But it is time to act with greatness and accept the consequences of that act.

You were not elected to be the president of the nation, acting as such is a petty deception, not only for those who elected you, but for all Argentines.

For that reason, I urge you to step aside and let the country grow.

I ask that you stop abusing your position as vice president and meddling in roles that do not concern you.

I ask that you let the acting president govern without imposing conditions, agendas and officials.

And, above all, I ask you to stop intervening in the powers of other powers of the State.

Only by regaining public confidence in the current president, as a legitimate interlocutor, could we explore and advance in the fundamental agreements that allow us, in these difficult times, to advance together as a nation and achieve the momentum we need to grow again - and once and for all. for all - socially, economically and democratically.

Letting the country grow is trying to do good over personal interests, in order to seek the general welfare, as mentioned in the Preamble to our National Constitution.

Letting the country grow is knowing how to move aside, especially when one is a reason for rejection and discord for many, in order to consolidate peace in the nation.

Letting the country grow is not to twitch society with more divisions and antagonisms, in order to contribute to national unity.

Letting the country grow is working hard to strengthen justice and ensure the benefits of freedom for us, for our posterity and for all the men of the world who want to come to inhabit the Argentine soil.

For this reason, I pray to God, the source of all reason and justice, to enlighten her and give her the inner strength necessary to allow the country to grow even at the expense of herself.
