The Neuhauser Kindergarten St. Josef continues to develop.

Almost a year after the extension was completed, numerous donations made it possible to build new playground equipment in the outdoor area.

Neuhaus -

“Nothing better could have happened to us,” says kindergarten director Sabine Schmitz.

The 56-year-old has been working in the educational field for 36 years.

She sums it up: “I've never experienced anything like this before.” The kindergarten was able to draw on unlimited resources - especially financially.

This was made possible by the Josefstaler Elefant association, individual donations and the cooperation of the church administration, the parents' council and the educators.

The Neuhauser children will have a sandpit with a mud system in the future

The result is impressive: among other things, a swing, a kirtahutschn, a tube slide and a sandpit built the building yard employees with the involvement of the community gardener Reiner Pertl.

A special feature: "The sandpit is equipped with a mud system," says Schmitz.

A tree trunk with an integrated water inlet was erected in the middle of the sandy area.

"In addition, we were able to give the children a vibrating and shaking system." Some of the equipment has already been confiscated by the children, reports Deacon Alois Winderl, who had initiated the construction as a representative of the Catholic Church.

Schmitz adds: “Last but not least, the construction work itself was an attraction in itself.” For weeks, the children “pressed their noses flat against the windshield” while the excavators were driving back and forth in the garden, she says.

The children's wishes were taken into account in the planning

Before construction began, Schmitz and Winderl also involved the children in the building project.

“The wishes were taken into account,” says Schmitz.

Pertl added specialist knowledge to the ideas - for example with experience from the spa garden.

As soon as the outdoor area is greened in spring, the construction work is completed.

“I only hear positive things,” says Winderl.

The cultivation was already a complete success.

"Since February all three kindergarten groups have been accommodated on the ground floor, each with 25 places." The crèche group with their 20 children also moved into the building on Grünseestrasse last winter.

Before that, a kindergarten group and the crèche had been housed in the parish center for several years due to water damage and the subsequent construction work (we reported).

Parents, children, educators: everyone is very satisfied

The new building was followed by an enlargement of the outdoor area - part of the parish garden is now used by the kindergarten.

"Together with the new devices, everyone - parents, children and educators - are perfectly happy," says Winderl.

Schmitz also confirms: "That is more than I would have dared to dream."
