A truck on the A8 at Irschenberg changed lanes abruptly and without blinking.
A driver was shocked by this - and triggered a rear-end collision.
Irschenberg - As reported by the Holzkirchen autobahn police station, a 67-year-old Echinger was driving his BMW on Saturday, November 21, around 5:50 p.m. on the middle lane of the A8 in the direction of Munich.
On the incline of the Irschenberg, a truck suddenly pulled from the right to the middle lane - without turning on the indicator.
The Echinger was startled by the abrupt maneuver and swerved to the left.
Here, however, a 44-year-old from Munich was driving his Mini.
The consequence was a rear-end collision in which the 60-year-old passenger of the Echo was slightly injured.
The ambulance took the woman to Agatharied Hospital.
The Mini was no longer roadworthy after the accident and was towed away.
The right lane was closed for the duration of the accident recording.
Due to the low volume of traffic, however, there were no obstructions or traffic jams.
The Irschenberg fire brigade secured the accident site with two vehicles and 15 men.
The truck did not stop after the accident and fled.
The police are now asking witnesses on 08024/90730 for information.
