At the cabinet meeting today (Sunday), a decision was approved to release and remove the barriers to obtaining medical licenses in Israel, facing new immigrants with medical and para-medical licenses from foreign countries.

In this context, immigrant doctors with five years of experience will receive a clinical exemption, experienced nurses will be able to be tested practically in a theoretical place as a way to alleviate language difficulties, courses taught online and undergraduate completion courses in communication clinics will be recognized.

In addition, professional committees will be established to examine additional exemptions for physicians, dentists, and recognition of international standards.

As a result of the decision, hundreds of doctors and dozens of trained nurses who immigrated to Israel will be able to be quickly absorbed into the public medical system and increase the workforce in hospitals and health funds.
