After the 15-15 draw against Australia, another tremendous result for Los Pumas in the Tres Nations after the unforgettable victory over the All Blacks, Pablo Matera gave his shirt to an Argentine boy who was in the stands.

The kid was moved to tears by the captain's gesture.

And now the other side of the story has been revealed.

The protagonist of the story is Benicio Benvenuto, who at the beginning of this year went to live in Australia with his family and, how could it be otherwise, kept his passion for rugby unchanged.

After seeing his idols on the pitch, Benicio shouted at Matera that he was a fan of Alumni, the same team from which the captain of Los Pumas and current Stade Francais player emerged.

In fact, according to the Instagram account of the URBA team, Benvenuto came to play in the category of children under eight at the Tortuguitas club before leaving the country.

Unlike Benicio, Matera found a passion for rugby when he was a little older.

For many years, his favorite sport was soccer.

He played "9" and even played some tournaments in Pilar.

But in his teens he began to practice more with the oval ball at school and decided to start training at the Tortuguitas club, where several of his friends were already playing.

Happy for the gift, when the emotion subsided,

Beni posed with his brand-new shirt

, a gesture that Matera will never forget, the great emblem of the national team together with Nicolás Sánchez, author of the 40 points of Los Pumas in the competition that it is contested entirely on Australian soil.

The little boy who tied Matera's shirt and got excited.

Well standing in the Tres Nations, now the Argentine team will have action again the next two weekends.

First it will be times to be measured again against the All Blacks, on Saturday 28, and seven days later it will be the rematch against Australia.

Mario Ledesma's team, which faces its first official competition after the 2019 World Cup in Japan and after the stoppage due to the coronavirus pandemic, achieved two historic results and for now shares the top of the tournament positions with chances of being champion against two of the great powers of the planet.
