The plastic artist Samoukan believes that the Corona pandemic and the precautionary measures it imposed changed the opinion of many Syrian plastic artists towards electronic exhibitions and forced them to enter this new virtual experience.
Regarding the first electronic Syrian plastic plastic exhibition in Ukraine in which he is participating, artist Samoukan explained in a statement to SANA, “The exhibition came with the loving effort of the Syrian sculptor Afif Agha and his son, the film director Sumer under the supervision of the Syrian community in Ukraine, with the aim of showing the Syrian formation through the works of the participating artists who represent love. The Syrian human being for beauty and goodness thanks to his belonging to an ancient civilization.
Samoukan pointed out that his painting participating in the exhibition entitled The City, which is in oil-on-canvas technology and in large size, expresses that the city does not consist of stone only, but also of people, and it feels the conditions that its inhabitants live and suffer for them.
He said, "I tried to draw many faces of various sizes and situations, some of which are tired or painful, and some of them feel joy, and by using one color to express the worthiness of the Syrian person for life with the inclusion of the painting references to myth."
It is noteworthy that the first electronic Syrian plastic art exhibition in Ukraine aims to introduce Syrian plastic art by displaying the products of 30 artists to be published on the Syrian Community Forum website in Ukraine throughout this month.
