At nearly 2 pm today (23rd), the police received a report at the location of the Sham Tseng section of Tuen Mun Road. The 75-year-old driver surnamed Li was bleeding and trapped by a meter-long fetal mark.

Due to the smoke coming from the tractor, the fire department classified the incident as a secondary fire treatment. The fire department and ambulancemen rushed to the scene to rescue the trapped driver.

The driver suffered head and hand injuries and was consciously sent to hospital for treatment.

Affected by the accident, the traffic on the scene was very congested.

A Cam fragment of a car believed to be the cause of the incident circulated on the Internet. A truck was seen traveling along the left lane of Tuen Mun Highway towards Tuen Mun. When it reached a left turn, it was suspected of losing control. After shoveling two lines in a row, a large amount of white smoke emerged on the scene.

Following the private car immediately stopped, but fortunately it was not overwhelmed by the truck.

The Transport Department announced that due to a traffic accident, part of the lanes of Tuen Mun Road near Sham Tseng Village in the direction of Tuen Mun have been closed. Motorists can only use the remaining lanes.

At present, the long tail of the car heading towards Tuen Mun on Tuen Mun Road has reached Tuen Mun Road near Ting Kau, and motorists are urged to consider using other roads.
