Miracle in the prayer yard:
27-year-old Omar Haim from Rehovot went out to the school yard next to his house to pray in the open area as part of the Korona guidelines. Together with Omar, Raz Yitzhaki, an emergency medicine medic and MDA volunteer.
At the end of the prayer, as her participants tidied up the courtyard, Omar lost consciousness and collapsed on the floor.
Seconds later, his prayer friends spotted him and called 21-year-old Raz, who immediately began medical treatment, performed CPR on Omer and reported the incident to MDA at the same time.
Raz, while performing the resuscitation operations, sent a worshiper to the school gate to direct the ambulance and bring as soon as possible a device (defibrillator), which with his help, and together with MDA teams, gave electric shocks that saved Omar's life and restored his pulse. At the end of nerve-wracking minutes of strenuous resuscitation, after his condition stabilized, MDA staff evacuated him to the hospital for further treatment and recovery.
Raz Yitzhaki, a paramedic in the MDA who ran the arena, said: "After the prayer, I heard voices of help, I ran to the scene and saw Omar unconscious.
He just collapsed on the field.
"I immediately called MDA and started resuscitation. When the ambulance arrived, they gave him two electric shocks and we continued the massages. To our great joy, the pulse returned and after a few minutes he began to breathe independently."

Meeting Omar today for the first time since the event while standing on his feet is very exciting, it's an amazing feeling.

About the difficult event and the miracle that happened, Omar Haim said: "I felt good that morning, I arrived at the prayer, as usual, after which I just collapsed on the floor. Luckily, two worshipers were behind me and called for Raz 'help. Until this moment I remember almost nothing from that day, But I'm very excited about the miracle story that happened to me and Raz's amazing help. I feel like I was reborn, I received a gift from heaven and a great miracle happened here. I thank Raz and the MDA staff who saved my life.
