The governorate of Damascus announced the start of adjusting the taxi counters operating within the city at the headquarters of the Damascus branch of the General Company for Electricity and Communication Works “Syrian Networks” in the Aisha river area.
A member of the Executive Office of the Transport and Communications Sector, Mazen Dabbas, stated in a statement to the representative of SANA today that, starting from this morning, the taxi counters "taxi" have begun to be modified at the headquarters of the "Syrian Networks" in the Aisha river, which continues until the end of next January, calling on car owners to adjust the meters because A vehicle whose dashboard has not been modified will be seized after this period ends.
According to Dabbas, after adjusting the meter, the driver gets a sticker that is placed on the windshield indicating that the meter has been modified.
Dabbas explained that the stickers of “taxis” whose meters have not been modified will be distributed with the amounts to be paid by the passenger in addition to the amount shown on the screen of the current meter so that an amount of 100 liras will be added to the meter slice from 50 to 200 liras and an amount of 200 liras will be added to the counter slice from 215 to 350 liras and the amount ranging from 365 to 500 liras is added to it 300 liras, and if the counter chip appears from 515 to 650 liras, the passenger must add an amount of 400 liras.
Dabbas indicated that when the amount ranging from 665 to 800 appears on the counter, an amount of 500 pounds will be added to it, while the passenger must pay 600 pounds to the counter bracket of 815 pounds and above.
