The Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, received this morning the Ambassador of the Republic of Abkhazia Khotaba Bagrat Rachovich .. The discussion revolved around bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop cooperation between them in various fields in the interest of the two friendly peoples and countries.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of expediting the formation of the Joint Ministerial Committee and the Businessmen Council, establishing industrial projects and joint investments in Syria that secure job opportunities and the needs of the two countries' markets, as well as strengthening efforts to activate cooperation in the economic and commercial fields to face challenges in the circumstances of the unjust economic blockade imposed on both countries.
The Prime Minister made it clear that Syria is open and ready to strengthen cooperation with friendly countries that stood by its side in the face of terrorism and the blockade, once again keenness to develop cooperation with the Republic of Abkhazia in a way that achieves the common interest and reflects the nature of the strong and historical relations that bind the peoples of the two countries.
In turn, the Abkhaz ambassador expressed his country's appreciation for Syria's stances in support of the Abkhaz people and the desire to develop bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields for mutual benefit.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Qais Khader.
