The third generation member of the Zheng Yutong family, the chief executive officer of Rosewood Hotels, the executive director of New World Development (0017), and the non-executive director of Chow Tai Fook (1929), and the director of New World China Land Zheng Zhiwen, were appointed as independent non-executive directors of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.
Zheng Zhiwen will serve as a member of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation's Risk Management Committee.
Shi Meilun, chairman of the board of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, pointed out that the bank's flagship in Asia, Hong Kong and the Mainland are the bank's main markets; and Zheng Zhiwen has accumulated rich business experience in the two places, which is exactly what the bank's board of directors needs.
Shi Meilun also pointed out that Zheng Zhiwen's professional talents in expanding its global network of hotel brands have brought valuable value to the bank's business focusing on the international market.
