The book fair was originally scheduled to be held from July 15 to 21 this year, but was postponed to December 16 to 22 in response to the epidemic.

The TDC stated that it will discuss with representatives of the co-organizers of the Hong Kong Book Fair today. In view of the recent rebound of the epidemic, large indoor group gatherings should be avoided.

The bureau and the co-organizers unanimously agreed that even if the book fair adopts a number of measures, there is still a great risk of reopening in December. Based on the safety of citizens and exhibitors, the bureau's primary consideration has decided to postpone the book fair to July next year.

The TDC stated that the SAR government will continue to provide support to the industry through the epidemic prevention fund measures for the postponed activities.
