Results from clinical trials of the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine show that it has "an average efficacy of 70%," the pharmaceutical company said in a press release Monday.
According to AstraZeneca, clinical trials conducted in the UK and Brazil "showed that the vaccine was highly effective in preventing COVID-19" and no hospitalizations or severe cases of the disease were reported in participants who received the vaccine.
